Magnetic North Studios is owned and operated by Tod Levine. Tod brings over thirty years of professional studio experience to each session. All mastering and production at Magnetic North is performed personally by Tod to ensure that all projects are done at a consistently high level.
Tod got his real start in professional audio beginning in 1980 working at his family's legendary company, AUDIOTECHNIQUES, in New York City. During this time Tod studied studio engineering with Howard Stein at White Cloud Recording on Long Island and he was also a full-time music major at the famed High School for the Performing Arts. Shortly after that Tod became a staff engineer at White Cloud and a full-time audio engineering student at the Center for the Media Arts. After graduating from C.M.A. Tod Became Chief Engineer of Jerry Marotta's Wigtown Studio in Long Island City, NY. Tod has held staff engineering positions at K-Town Studios, Funky Town, Platinum Island, Nevessa Studio, Applehead and Power Play Studios (The home of Boogie Down Productions).
